Permit Clerk: Performs skilled clerical duties and also provides administrative support necessary for the efficient operations of the Community Development Permit Center. The role’s primary focus is in Public Works permit processing and the associated file management and recordkeeping.
Permit Technician: Reviews applications, reads and interprets information, explains permitting code concepts to customers, determines level of advanced review required and routes applications as appropriate, issues permits within scope of authority, and performs all duties of a Permit Clerk in to support the efficient operations of DCD’s Permit Center. Technician level requires ICC Permit Technician Certification.

The City of Great Bend, KS is recruiting for the position of Assistant Building/Fire Inspector for the Fire Department. The Assistant Building/Fire Inspector will be under the supervision of the Building Inspector. The Assistant Building/Fire Inspector will have the primary role of Fire Inspector and will assist the Building Inspector as needed. This individual will perform annual inspections of buildings and other structures, perform flammable liquid storage and installation inspections, inspect places of public assembly, educational buildings, childcare facilities and any other uses deemed in need of an inspection.

ADAMS COUNTY BUILDING AND PLANNING PERMIT TECHNICIAN
