PermitTechNation was founded by Permit Technicians from across the United States via networking through ICC and the Annual Conferences. The network of Permit Technicians has grown over the years and has encouraged further involvement. It all started with the Permit Tech Ad Hoc Committee and has grown into a community that supports, encourages and mentors each other.

Our top priority is to...

• Mentor Permit Techs to work towards establishing an ICC Permit Technician Chapter/Association in their respective
   State.
• Promote ICC Permit Technician Certification.
• Promote ICC Permit Specialist Certification
• Support, organize and participate in educational seminars and training programs.

There is no better time to join our ICC Chapter – PermitTechNation! PTN is an association dedicated to raising the profile of the Permit Technician (typically front counter staff) by providing training, networking, and support, as well as, mentoring Permit Techs in States without an ICC Permit Technician Chapter, to establish a Chapter/Association in their respective State.

MEMBERSHIP WITH A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION:

• Promotes and supports the ideals of the ICC.
• Educates members on the International Building Code, International Residential Code, and other related Code procedures.

• For President / Members attending the ICC ABM NETWORKING with other jurisdictions and offering technical support and resources. These resources are used frequently by our members to help develop new processes or methods.
