Service is the act of helping—and at the heart of our mission, it’s a commitment we live by. Service to our families, our friends, and our communities is deeply ingrained in our values, as well as in those of our dedicated volunteers. Last year marked the 10th anniversary of the PTN and WICED “Day of Service” volunteer program, where over 70 volunteers gave their time to support this meaningful cause. In partnership with the International Code Council, this year’s “Day of Service” will be supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio (RMHC) on October 18^th, 2025, as we look forward to continuing our reputation of leaving our host city better than we found it.

We are reaching out to individuals and organizations in our communities, who share in our passion for public service and giving back to the community, for their support and sponsorship. Your assistance will provide the means to complete property maintenance at the RMHC properties located in Cleveland and Akron. As we endeavor to accommodate more than 50 volunteers, the allocated funds will be utilized to guarantee that our teams operate in a safe and secure environment while engaging in giving back to the community.

Through the generosity of members of the building community and other people like you, we’re able to improve the lives of those we serve and support families facing serious health challenges. While program costs vary by location, this year our goal is to raise $5,000 to fully fund the 2025 Day of Service. Your contribution—no matter the size—will have a direct impact on the lives of the individuals and families in this community who benefit from RMHC.

ABOUT OUR ICC CHAPTERS

PTN was founded in 2013 by a few enthusiastic individuals to advocate for and provide education and mentorship for Permit Technicians and building department officials.

WICED was founded in 2007 for the benefit of providing mentoring, advocacy, and education to the women in the arena of code enforcement and development.

Both organizations are International Code Council (ICC) Professional Chapters and responsible for ensuring that the built environment meets the minimum required safeguards for people at home, school and in the workplace.
