HABITAT FOR HUMANITY 2022 WICED/PTN DAY OF SERVICE

Since 1985, Habitat of Metro Louisville has been bringing the community together to build stable homes, strong relationships and healthy neighborhoods. The homeownership program empowers low-income families to invest in themselves and invest in their communities. By providing a hand up, not a hand out, Metro Louisville homebuyers can build a path towards financial stability and a brighter future. To date, H4H of Metro Louisville has built or rehabbed 573 homes and completed 213 home repair projects.

This year, two options are available for this Day of Service, both will be from 8:30-3:30:

• 20 slots at the Love Your Neighborhood program site. Volunteers will be doing activities to prepare the site for the incoming contractors including activities such as power washing.
• 20 slots at a small built subdivision; volunteers will be doing post build clean up

Transportation to/from site will be provided; details to follow. 

Breakfast, lunch, water, and snacks will be provided onsite for all shifts.

Volunteers must have signed up by Aug. 5 to be guaranteed an event T-shirt. Event shirts provided to volunteers are unisex / grey with green lettering.  A limited # maybe available on the day of the build.

For safety, closed toe shoes are required; gloves and goggles will be provided.

0.60 ICC Preferred Provider CEUs will be earned for this Day of Service.
